Harry Kelley's Loganville Industrial Railway

This 29’ x 28’ indoor G scale layout fills the loft area of a barn. It depicts a small interchange yard somewhere in eastern Tennessee in the modern era. CSX and NS lines exchange cuts of cars here with a local short line that serves a paper mill and several other industries. This layout was featured in Model Railroad Planning 2013, both because of its clever switching plan and its great scenery.

Big trains switching slowly at eye level in an industrial setting, with wonderful winter scenery built entirely from non-commercial materials such as local weeds, quarry dust ballast, etc. etc. Lots to love here!
