Layout#

Mainline runs from Bluefield, West Virginia to Lynchburg, Virginia, and secondary mainlines to Bristol, Tennessee and to Hagerstown, Maryland. Also a branch to Blacksburg, Virginia.

The layout has four levels which equates to approximately 2000 square feet.

Watch 50 car coal drags negotiating the Virginia mountains in the last days of heavy articulated steam. At scale speeds, it takes more than 20 minutes to run a single lap around this layout. Outstanding scratch built trackwork with many curved turnouts and crossings. Just down the road from the Central Railway Museum.
