Approximately 125 ft double mainline loop with 1 Industrial siding, 1 industrial spur, and 2 Industry/Yard feeds (one is a fiddle yard and the other is a normal yard). Freelance design mainly in the diesel era. It is an around the wall design covering 1½ basement rooms, with a peninsula mountain/coalmine loop on one end and a loop around an industrial spur on the other end. Approximately 18 industries, a town front, and an old passenger station now used for excursion trips comprise the railroad. 4 short tunnels get the trains between rooms. Designed mainly for running 2 or more trains continuously, but with the option to service industries on the loop and/or branch off into either of the industrial/yard areas. Track height varies from 42” to 50” with a maximum grade of about 2%. Mainline traverses office desk and two bookshelves at eyelevel (sitting) and has a pair of double track bridges across a creek at center-desk. Layout can be open Thursday from 2pm until 8-9pm and again on Sunday morning 9am until noon. Located close to I-85 for those arriving or departing via I-85 south of Greenville and just off SC20 between Greenville and Belton for those participating in the Motor-Car rides / BBQ supper on Thursday.
