S scale, 38' x 28', set in 1970 and based on a local short line prototype. This layout includes renditions of numerous local prototype scenes, some of which you can visit on two convention tours (The Railfan Bus Tour on Friday afternoon, and the River Junction Ramble on Saturday morning.) Modeled scenes include the G&N engine facility, the River Junction area, the Piedmont & Northern and Southern interchange, the Piedmont & Northern yard and shops, the Berea industrial area, and Browns Feed and Seed in Travelers Rest. This nearly complete layout also features some very nicely done scenery/structures, plus hand laid track.
